1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Fast Guitar Tuner ("the App", "we", "our") handles user information. We built this app to be a clean, efficient utility tool that respects your privacy. The app runs completely on-device without any backend servers or personal data harvesting.

2. Audio & Microphone Access

Fast Guitar Tuner requires access to your device's microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO) solely to capture audio frequency input in order to tune your musical instruments in real-time.

Important: Audio processing is executed strictly in local device memory (RAM) in real time. We do not record, save, store, or transmit any audio or voice data to any remote server or third party.

3. Serverless Architecture & No Data Collection

We do not own or maintain external servers, databases, or cloud processing infrastructure for Fast Guitar Tuner.

Because there is no backend server:

  • No personal accounts, registrations, or logins are required.
  • No personally identifiable information (such as name, email address, phone number) is ever collected by us.
  • No GPS or precise location tracking is performed.

4. Third-Party Services & Advertising (Google AdMob)

To keep the app free to use, Fast Guitar Tuner utilizes Google AdMob to display advertisements. The Google AdMob SDK may collect and process certain non-personally identifiable diagnostic and device information in accordance with standard Google Play policies.

This may include:

  • Advertising ID (Google AAID)
  • Device brand, model, operating system version, and general technical metrics
  • Coarse IP-derived location data used for localized ad serving
  • Aggregated performance and diagnostic metrics

  • Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Required for real-time acoustic pitch recognition.
  • Network Access (INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Required strictly by the Google AdMob SDK to request and display ads.

Fast Guitar Tuner is safe for general audiences and does not knowingly collect or request personal information from children under the age of 13, adhering to COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) and Google Play Families policy requirements.
